Wall Climbing

Wall Climbing is an intense sport, which seems to be gaining popularity and people every day. Anybody can climb, and because it is indoors, Wall Climbing is an activity that can be done throughout the whole year. Wall Climbers can be found all around the world.

Wall Climbers who participate in Wall Climbing must have very good strength in their hands, forearms, shoulders and back. Without this strength it will be very hard to pull the weight of your body higher and higher. Wall Climbers need a wall to climb to begin with.

A climbing wall is an artificially constructed wall with grips for hands and feet, used for Wall Climbing. Some are brick or wooden constructions, but on most modern walls, the material most often used is a thick multiplex board with holes drilled into it. Recently, manufactured steel and aluminum have also been used. The wall may have places to attach belay ropes, but may also be used to practice lead climbing or bouldering.
